Cooking and sharing recipes has always been at the heart of my life. Over the years, my creations have been featured in Delicious Living, Taste of Home, and I’ve had the joy of collaborating with brands like Le Creuset and King Arthur Baking. I’m proud to have been a finalist in the “Home Chef Challenge” three years running and to serve as a community instructor for local cooking workshops. What I’ve learned in all this: recipes are as much about the stories behind them as the ingredients themselves. How It All Started

Lady Basil began out of my lifelong love for gathering people around food. I grew up watching my grandmother, Lady Basil herself, season everything with both herbs and a dash of laughter. My fondest childhood memories are those spent in her sunlit kitchen, kneading dough or tasting sauces until they were just right. That early magic, those smells of baking bread and simmering soups, are what inspired me to create this blog.

Over the years, friends and family urged me to write down my recipes—so I did, one scribbled note at a time. But I realized it was more than just food; it was the way these recipes brought us together, sparked conversations, and built traditions. Sharing these moments and the know-how behind each recipe became my bigger purpose: to inspire others to create their own kitchen memories.

This journey hasn’t just been about the food—it’s about connection. I started Lady Basil to document my culinary adventures, yes, but even more, to invite you to join me at the table, wherever you are.

Quality and trust are everything to me. I won’t share a recipe unless I’m proud to serve it to my own family. My process involves sourcing the freshest ingredients, thoughtfully developing each dish, and tweaking details until the results are just right. I also believe that food should look as good as it tastes, so I photograph every recipe myself—styling each shot to reflect its flavor, mood, and story.

As the heart behind Lady Basil, I create, test, and write every recipe you’ll find here. With over 15 years in the kitchen and a background in culinary arts, my passion is sharing honest, flavorful food. I love nothing more than developing recipes that bring people together and telling the stories behind them. Outside of Lady Basil, I’m a dedicated hiker, painter, and mom to two adventurous kids.
